CATBALOGAN CITY – As one way of expressing its support to the frontliners, Samar State University (SSU) through the College of Industrial Technology (CIT) decided to prepare snacks for these modern-day heroes thrice a week. For today, they baked banana cakes for 150 frontliners in Catbalogan City.
Tapped volunteer bakers, Mrs. Charito Cabrera, Mrs. Janet Caber, Mrs. Terry Macha, and Mrs. Melody Bachao of CIT, spent their day making these baked goods to cater the frontline workers from different sectors such as security personnel at checkpoints, medical personnel, and even office workers.
This initiative is part of SSU Bantay COVID-19 to honor the frontliners for the sacrifices they have rendered to keep the community safe.
