SSU addresses mental health through Pag-himangraw tele-counseling

CATBALOGAN CITY – The pandemic outbreak of the coronavirus had made a huge impact in the world. It is reasonable why people feel anxious, afraid, and overwhelmed by the alerts and news updates heard on the news. Thus, SSU launched Pag-himangraw: Mental Health and Psychological Support Service through Tele-counseling on April 3, Friday.

Samar State University (SSU) Bantay COVID-19 Pag-himangraw Center is offering free Psychological First Aid (PFA) sessions to the localities in the province especially the front liners, PUMs, and PUIs.

Pag-himangraw offers (1) tele-counseling, (2) PFA via phone call, and (3) on-air PFA.

Clients may talk to the volunteers by contacting 09274967695 (Globe) or 09398733895 (Smart).

Pag-himangraw Center’s hotlines are open from Monday-Friday, 9-11 AM and 2-4 PM.

Pag-himangraw will also be airing a radio segment at DYSY 102.9 and weekly live streaming with the University President dubbed as ‘Kumustahay’ will be broadcasted at www.facebook.com/ssucatbalogan.
