CATBALOGAN CITY – Along with the rise of the pandemic is the infamous spread of infodemic. Sharing false information on social media regarding COVID-19 would entail panic to many. Authorities have already urged the public to refrain from sharing and posting unverified reports on the pandemic especially during this time of national emergency and Samar State University (SSU) initiated an effort to help control the dilemma.
SSU will soon unveil the Lagidgid Covid-2019, a University project which will provide a website to the public showing real-time updates relative to the pandemic COVID-19.
Mr. Jhonil C. Bajado, Head of the Museum and Archives, penned the project’s name along with its details.
Lagidgid means “detailed” in Waray.
The website is now being developed by Mr. Zaldy Jabinar, Mr. Nathaniel Mendoza, and Engr. Raven Tabiongan.
According to the developers, the website is already 70% completed.
