MATUGUINAO, SAMAR – Dr. Marilyn D. Cardoso, Samar State University (SSU) President, visited Matuguinao, Samar on February 18, 2020 as the recipient municipality of the extension projects conducted by the teams of Engr. Mirador Labrador and Engr. Meddy Mangaring of the College of Engineering on the (1) Development of Geo-referenced Agricultural Mapping and Management System for Samar Island and (2) Design and Generation of Hybrid Alternative Energy Source for Remote and Rural Areas (Microscale) situated at Brgy. Bag-otan.
With the SSU team were Dr. Ronald Orale the VP for Research and Extension and project members and support staff.
Moreover, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Central Office headed by Jamie Joyce Sese and the Regional Office were also present for the Monitoring and Evaluation of the projects and had assured Mayor Aran Boller for additional funding for the next project on hydro to be located near the Bag-otan rapids.
