SSU to award 100k to winner of Jingle Writing contest

SSU, Catbalogan – “In response to this academic and professional collaboration, we give our 100 percent ‘YES’ to address the identified inadequacies and points of improvement of the Stage 1 ISO Audit,” said Dr. Marilyn D. Cardoso, University President, on her pledge of commitment during the closing program of the ISO 9001:2015 Level 1 Audit today, October 9.

After the two-day external audit of the two auditors from AJA Registrars, Raquel Digo and Anna Manlangit, the university braced itself to the presentation of the audit findings given by the team leader of the auditors from AJA Registrars, Raquel Digo.

“This is to confirm that we have completed all the identified itineraries for the two days audit of Samar State University. As mentioned during the opening meeting, we would identify the inadequacies and what we need to prepare in order that you may have a more successful, more improved quality management system before the Stage 2 audit for ISO 9001:2015,” stated Digo.

“With that, what is required from the organization is to identify the company action and response, and provide the objective evidences that can be verified upon Stage 2 audit,” said Digo after enumerating the findings.

Dr. Cardoso accepted the challenge and denoted it as a call of the SSU faculty and staff being public servants.

“With the blessing of the Divine Providence, we commit ourselves to endeavor and address the inadequacies of the ISO 9001:2015 Stage 1 audit, all for the development of Samar State University, the Samar province, and for His greater glory and honor,” said the University President.

In conclusion, Dr. Cardoso expressed her gratitude to the auditors from the AJA Registrars, Inc. for journeying with the university in the pursuit to quality higher education.

“Ma’am Raquel and Ma’am Anna, you have been a part of our dream for Samar State University,” she said.

The university is expecting to be ISO 9001:2015 certified before the end of the calendar year 2018.
