KAUPOD organization is an organization representing Samar State University’s DYSY 102.9 University radio. It advocates the University’s commitment to technology, innovation, and service excellence. Provide an accurate source of information on the University’s effort to uplift lives of communities through instruction, production, research and extension. Be a promoter of change through news, entertainment, and other core programs relevant to SSU’s Vision & Mission and to be the voice that echoes SSU’s mantra to innovate, build, and serve.

Society of Physical Educators

Society of Physical Educators, imploring leadership skills, self-confidence, and talents, in order to promote an atmosphere of proactive organization, engagement in community and school development, spirit of volunteerism and self- respect to foster harmonious ties among members and other groups and individuals outside this organization.

Society of Elementary Educators

The Society of Elementary Educators aims to provide better leadership to the community and environment in developing a better personality, better nature, innovation, and development. It gives a service connected to the university mission and vision. It shall also undertake research and extension services and provide progressive leadership in its areas of specialization.

Society of English Major

The organization logo symbolizes companionship, teamwork, and solidarity in the pursuit of academic success, self-control, leadership, and service. It stands for society’s objectives for academic achievement and success in all of its endeavors. The color blue represents the proud trademark of the institution and the College of Education; while the color yellow symbolizes intellectual curiosity and the desire to learn. It symbolizes the purity of the aims and advocacies of the organization and its governance.

Mathematics Society of SSU

The organization was established to lead the whole population of BSED-MATH students. It aims to maintain the union, cooperation and good relationship within the society. The organization is accountable for the malfunction or any misbehavior of any of the members. One of the purposes of the organization is to extend and expand the knowledge of every member towards others through a mission that is to extend help to the students or anyone with difficulty in mathematics.

Educators Guild

The Educators’ Guild has established itself as a member-focused organization. Through its Executive Board, the organization undertakes its function of offering educational training to all Education students of the university. Furthermore, it may sponsor a yearly educational activity for all concerned students at SSU, particularly those in the teaching profession aspects, in order to harness the abilities and skills of the students in line with their crafts; these, and much more, are what the Educators’ Guild has to offer as an organization.

Delta Epsilon Fraternity and Sorority

The Delta Epsilon Fraternity and Sorority (Society of would-be Engineers) is an organization exclusive only for the engineering profession. The organization was established from Eastern Visayas State University founded by three engineering students and was later brought into Samar State University on March 14, 1990.

Information System Society

IS Society promote learnings in using different software, teaching parents and students in using technology, and also promote some products for entrepreneurial fair

Psychology Society

Psychology Society stands with the whole University and the student body, the Tradesmen, in pursuing the greater good and providing constructive, meaningful, and lasting changes in people’s lives, spreading awareness and being one with the students in stamping out the stigma in mental health here in the Philippines.

United Architects of the Philippines Student Auxiliary-SSU

SSU-Campus Ministry

The organization focuses on God-centered activities that enhance the spiritual aspect of Samar State University students and, by the power of the Holy Spirit, transform them into living instruments in proclaiming the word of God for evangelization and ministry.

Red Cross Youth Council

Red Cross Youth is one of the six major services provided by the Philippine Red Cross. Its mission is to instill Red Cross values in children and young people, educate and empower them in that spirit through constructive training and effective leadership, and provide them with opportunities to channel their strengths and strong intentions into constructive humanitarian actions.

Tradesman

The Tradesman adheres to journalism ethics- verifying and confirming facts before writing articles. These people agree that creativity and accuracy go together. Credibility is the greatest treasure journalists could ever have and the world loses its end by carelessness. Liability should be at the forefront. To bring awareness and give a contribution as a student of Samar State University and as a citizen of the Philippines, we provide credible news and facts for a conflict-sensitive reportage.

Philippines Institute of Civil Engineers SSU Student Chapter

This organization had been formed as an autonomous chapter of the Philippine Institution of Civil Engineering, Inc. This chapter shall be known as the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, Samar State University Student Chapter. The chapter shall maintain a headquarter office at Samar State University, Catbalogan, City. The organization aims to achieve its objectives, foster harmonious relationships and unity among the members, to improve our knowledge and practice of Civil Engineering.

CHI ALPHA Student Ministry

Chi Alpha, that goes by the initials X.A., comes from two Greek words christou apostoloi that simply means Christ ambassadors or Christ’s sent ones as found in 2 Corinthians 5:20.

Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Phil. SSU-Student Chapter

The Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines – Samar State University Student Chapter (IECEP-SSU) is a student organization aimed at promoting a harmonious relationship and camaraderie among Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE) students, faculty, and other engineering courses, while also developing the skills and talents of ECE students through tutorial classes, skills enhancement activities, and representation in IECEP conventions and quiz shows, as well as conducting seminars on the principles and new trends in ECE and its allied engineering subjects and presenting student projects and experiments through exhibits.

College of Engineering Provincial Government

The College of Engineering Provincial Student Government is an organization designed for engineering students of Samar State University. This is one of the first organizations to be established in Samar State University, is accredited by SSU, and has an impact on four courses: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, and Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering.

Information Technology Society

The IT Society is a recognized organization associated with Samar State University in Catbalogan City. It is made up of members ranging from freshmen to seniors’ students at BSIT. SSU IT Society exists to partner with the University in preparing students with adequate background and understanding of Information Technology concepts, methods, and applications, building them as competent leaders. The scope of IT Society shall include all aspects of the theory, varied methods and techniques, academe-enhancing activities leading to the leadership development attainment of the purpose, provided that it is related to the basic/theoretical of Information Technology.

Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers SSU Council of Student Chapter

The organization had been formed as an autonomous chapter of the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers. The organization was officially called Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers – Samar State University- Council of student chapter (IIEE-SSU-CSC) as a chapter name from national affiliation. The main goal of the organization is to enhance the competencies of Electrical Students and to unite and build harmonious relationships amongst members and to the other school chapters.

Society of Students for Green Environment

An organization that has holistic interest in the field of science and a heart for the environment. It shall implement academic-enhancing activities leading to the enhancement of skills in leadership and scientific literacy or competencies to the field of natural sciences. And shall also conduct programs, activities and services relative to environmental protection and the conservation of natural resources.

SSU Youth for Environmental Sustainability

An organization that has zealous commitment to the sustainable development goals established by the United Nations, by empowering students to conduct such activities and programs that promote sustainable development especially against climate change and environmental degradation, and by honing their personas to make them the backbone of the society.

Social Studies Circle

Social Studies Circle fosters wide interest in the upliftment of school spirit to acquire a sense of awareness from it and develop leadership and stimulate a sense of responsibility and camaraderie among students.

College of Education Student Government Organization

The College of Education Student Government Organization is founded for the collaboration and solidarity of the student body from all departments and its corresponding organizations. It is founded on the principle democracy, responsible servant-leadership, unity, responsiveness and efficiency in serving the student body.

Institute of Computer Engineers of the Philippines Student Edition

An organization of Computer Engineering Students undertaking valuable endeavors host events, guest speakers, and workshops to educate and engage members on the various subjects in the Field of Computer Engineering. Providing a platform for students to develop leadership skills, gain real-world experience, and build a sense of community. Helping students explore their interests and passions and connect with like-minded individuals.

University Student Council

The University Student Council of Samar State University-Main Campus is committed to building an informative and responsive student council to increase the moral fortitude, accountability, and reliability of every student so students can have a positive impact in society. This is done by observing God’s will and promoting honest, dignified, high-quality university service.

Supreme Student Council - Paranas Campus

The Supreme Student Council (SSC) is the foremost co-curricular student organization authorized to operate and implement pertinent programs, projects and activities in school nationwide. It lays the groundwork for good governance, volunteerism, unity, and cooperation by providing the students various venues where they can improve their leadership knowledge, skills and attitude. It trains students to become better members of society in accordance with the ideals and principles of participatory democracy and good citizenship.

SSU-PC Book Lovers Club

An organization that encourages and promotes the love of reading, helps foster critical thinking and provides activities that improve skills in listening and reading.

SSU – PC Chorale – Paranas Campus

This organization is comprised of students whose love for music inspires them to share the beauty of life. Its mission is to offer students an inspiring musical experience in a variety of ways. Therefore, students will be able to prepare diverse literature, and enhance their singing, listening, and related music skills. All members focus on their ability to make great music together, establish meaningful relationships, build community, and advance their treatment of other human beings. Through music, this organization commits to serving schools and communities.

Samahan ng Filipinong Mag-aaral – Paranas Campus

Ang Samahan ng mga Filipinong Mag-aaral o SaFilMa ay binubuo ng lahat ng mag-aaral ng Samar State University-Paranas Campus na kumukuha ng programang Batsilyer ng Pang-Sekondaryang Edukasyon sa Asignaturang Filipino. Nanilalayong mahalin ang sariling wika, kultura at panitikan ng ating bansa na ipagmalaki at kaakibat nito ay palaganapin, pagyamanin at paunlarin ang mga ito upang mapanatili ang pagpasa at pag-unawa sa mga kultura na ipinamana ng ating mga ninuno. Binibigyan din ng pansin ng samahan ang tulungan ang mga kasapi nito na mahasa ang kaalaman sa wika, panitikan at kultura ng bansa. Higit sa lahat ninanais ng samahan na maging buo ang partisipasyon ng bawat kasapi para sa kasiyahan at iisang tunguhin ng benepisyo ng SaFilMa na makibahagi sa pagtangkilik, pagkilala at pagpapaunlad sa wika, kultura at panitikan bilang isang mag-aaral na may lahi at dugong Pilipino.

Tribu Kultura – Paranas Campus

Tribu Kultura is a cultural group of Samar State University – Paranas Campus which aims to promote and preserve cultural awareness among students in accordance with presidential proclamation no. 683 by performing, conducting and supporting cultural activities on the campus and at the university, regional, national, international levels, and also in the community. It shall also select and train skilled and talented students in dance, music, and the arts by sending them to local, national, and international training for development.

SSU-PC MATH SOCIETY

SSU-PC Math Society aims to promote interest and awareness of mathematics, provide a social and intellectual environment to all students interested in mathematics, engage in extra-curricular mathematical-related activities, and expose students to interesting topics in mathematics that they would not normally encounter in the classroom.

Educators Guild – Paranas Campus

The Educator’s Guild Society at SSU-Paranas Campus has a broad range of purposes aimed at supporting and enhancing the education and professional development of elementary education students. These purposes include promoting understanding of the field, providing hands-on learning experiences, offering mentorship and networking opportunities, contributing to the community, developing leadership skills, fostering a sense of community, providing a platform for exchanging ideas and perspectives, promoting cultural awareness, encouraging critical thinking, and fostering a love of learning. By pursuing these various goals, the society strives to support its members in their academic and professional journeys and prepare them for successful careers as elementary school teachers.

Statistics Society

SSU Statistics Society exists to partner with the university in preparing students with adequate background and understanding of statistical concepts, methods, and applications, building them as competent leaders and skilled statisticians to aid in decision-making in the academe, government, industry, and research institutions.

CIT-Supreme Student Council

This organization shows unity and leadership that will help every educator to be encouraged to challenge themselves in their growth and development.

Active Students, Trainees and Reservist Organization (ASTRO)

The Active Students, Trainees and Reservists Organization (ASTRO) is an autonomous organization. The main purpose of this organization is to mobilize active students, trainees and reservists for community involvement which may include programs and activities that promotes civic consciousness, and aims to develop their physical, moral, spiritual, intellectual and social well-being through civic service aligned with the aims of the NSTP program in broadening the student trainee’s worldview from a love of country, nation and community.

TAMBAYAYONG CAMPUS MINISTRY- PARANAS CAMPUS

Tambayayong Campus Ministry is a ministry for college students with many opportunities for friendship, growth, service and leadership. It serves students at Samar State University Paranas Campus and the greater collegiate community through Christian teaching, nurture, outreach, and activities.

The Builders- Paranas Campus

The primary goal of this organization is to create, publish, and distribute a fair and unbiased student newspaper to all actual students, faculty, and staff at the aforementioned university. The newspaper may publish contributions from any activity, both inside and outside the university, in the form of articles, illustrations, pictures, and other media, including but not limited to non-fiction and fiction.

CONHS Provincial Organization

The SSU College of Nursing and Health Sciences Provincial Student Government is an organization whose mission is to represent student interests through innovative programs and initiatives that enhance student welfare and create a positive learning environment. The organization aims to provide a voice for students and work towards creating a more inclusive and equitable community. Its vision is to be a leader in student representation and foster an inclusive community where all students can reach their full potential. Objectives include actively engaging and representing the student body, providing a platform for students to voice their concerns, working with college administration and other stakeholders, promoting diversity and anti-discrimination efforts, enhancing the student experience, developing effective communication channels and ensuring financial stability and transparency.

Creative Writers Club

The Creative Writing Club is an outlet that brings students together of all writing abilities who have an interest in crafting poetry and literary writings, scripts, news and other traditional forms of writing. It provides a collaborative work space for members to write, share ideas, and provide feedback for each other’s work. An organization that sharpens and boosts its artists and writers to create a bridge to breach the gap from other writers. An organization which also help to unite/ unify innovative idea into reality in addressing its worldwide problem.

Alliance of Student Nurse Advocates for Health

The purpose of this organization is to educate, inform, and raise awareness among all colleges of Samar State University regarding various diseases and its preventive measures.

SSU Student Nurses Association

The SNA-SSU’s logo contain the symbols of lamp as a representation of the nursing profession; the torch which symbolizes the vision of welfare to provide enlightenment to all the nursing students; the caduceus symbol epitomizes health and other allied forces; and the founding year that SNA-SSU were established. The logo plays on the colors yellow and shades of blue – in which the former embodies freedom and sensitivity among all aspects and the latter being to depict diversity that signifies optimism and camaraderie to all nursing students.

Society of Student Nutritionists Dietitians

The organization is required to attend activities on Health Awareness Programs and Malnutrition prevention initiated by government and non-government organizations. The organization shall coordinate with the school administration relative to the medical treatment and Nutritional assessment of students with health nutrition related problems. The society shall disseminate information regarding new published research, collaborate for academic purposes, University Research Specialists and other organizations such as government and non-government. The society shall also attend the research innovation conferences, webinars and seminars. The society shall hold, collaborate and volunteer to Local Government Unit, Provincial Nutrition Unit, City Health Unit, Barangay Health Unit and Non – Local Government Unit to conduct any activities.

United Society of Pharmacy Students

The United Society of Pharmacy Students inspires the next generation of highly competent, caring, and ethical pharmacists and scientists through quality contemporary activities emphasizing innovative interprofessional education.

Student Psychological Association

The Student Psychological Association aims to promote awareness on mental well-being, to enhance student leadership, to promote empowerment and empathy, to prepare students on responsibilities and equip them on societal issues and unleash potentials of psychology students on different aspects

S & D Society

S&D Society shortly stands for Sing and Dance Society and an organization with principles of unity, equality, diversity and excellence of the institution, willing to develop a broader view of further educational and vocational activities that includes singing and dancing as a component. 

PIKTAW

Piktaw is a newly formed organization that promotes knowledge, dance, music, the arts, and literature. The aim of the organization is to preserve the culture of Samar Island and bring traditions and beliefs back to their role in the community. The goal of the organization is to unite students of Samar State University and show the true spirit of Samarnon art and culture.

CAS Provincial Student Government

An organization for College of Arts and Sciences students, that aims to unite, listen and speak up for the voices of our students from different departments.

The Coiffeur Glam Club provides a unique opportunity for students studying cosmetology.

RAC Society

The Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Society is a newly formed organization that aims to develop the individual to be competent in his chosen vocation equipped with knowledge and skills in accordance with his major and to inculcate desirable values and attitudes necessary in dealing with the workplace, and in industry.

Society of Automotive Students

Automotive technology is the practical application of knowledge about self-propelled vehicles or machines.  We the automotive students learn about engine construction, fuel and ignition systems, power trains, brakes, transmissions, electronic and diagnostic equipment, and more.  The Automotive Technology is designed to prepare skilled technicians to work in the automotive industry, the skills and knowledge that we can gain while earning our automotive degree are in high demand. 

Society of Electronics Technology Students

An organization that portrays leadership, camaraderie and also an organization that is willing to guide every educator to utilize the tools, interest and abilities that they have. And encourage everyone to be a productive one.

Psychosocial Peer Support Organization

Psychosocial Peer Support Organization pledges to advocate the rights and welfare of every Samar State University student through access to relevant psychological and social support as equal aspects of their overall well-being.

Fashion Design Society

The FDS stands for Fashion Design Society that enables fashion students under the College of Industrial Technology at SSU- MAIN CAMPUS to better understand the world of fashion. The FDS focuses on innovating various garments where students develop their knowledge and skills through the new fashion trends globally.
