Coeng’g, GS undergo CHED Remote Monitoring

CATBALOGAN CITY – The Graduate School (GS) and the College of Engineering (CoEng’g) of Samar State University (SSU) went through a Remote Monitoring by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office VIII via Zoom on October 8 (21).

CHED is mandated to conduct regular monitoring and evaluation of HEI to determine compliance with the minimum requirements set by the agency.

The monitoring team evaluated seven (7) programs: Doctor of Philosophy major in Educational Management (Ph.D. EM), Doctor of Philosophy major in Technology Management (Ph.D. TM), Doctor of Management major in Human Resource Management (DM-HRM), Master of Arts in Education major in English (MAEd English), Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), and Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering (BSECE).

Dr. Marilyn D. Cardoso, University President, welcomed the members of the CHED’s Regional Quality Assurance Team (RQAT) and presented the initiatives of SSU showing that ‘quality assurance is SSU’s lifestyle’.

As the team from CHED presented their overall remarks per program, GS Dean Dr. Esteban A. Malindog and CoEng’g Dean Engr. Meddy S. Mangaring gave their response of commitment to the recommendations given.
