The University is witness to the many transformations of its operation primarily attributable to its outstanding employees and students. The selfless government workers who have exhibited more than the usual kind of service expected from them, or a student who have exhibited the attributes of a true SSUCian. These people are worthy to be recognized to motivate them further and to encourage them to continue setting examples. There are many silent outstanding workers and students in SSU who do not want to be recognized as they do it for the love of God, the country, and the University. The following are the awards for 2019, a slight modification of last year awards:
Sulo (Most Outstanding Employee)– The most outstanding employee who exhibited the three attributes; innovator, builder, and service to the community; the awardee shall have contributed to the much-needed change for the university, change towards making it more efficient, effective and productive. For 2019, this award shall be a separate nomination/application and not necessarily coming from among the six major awardee group.
Sulo ha Pag Tutdo (Outstanding in Instruction)– A full-time faculty who is a full-package teaching staff with exemplary performance in the four areas; instruction, research, extension and production.
Sulo ha Pagdukwag (Outstanding in Research) – The employee who has the highest-rated score for research productivity (i.e., publications, citations, patents, UMs, externally funded projects, etc.)
Sulo ha Kumunindad (Outstanding in Extension) – The employee who has the highest-rated extension productivity (number of extension service conducted, clients provided with service and awards and recognition for the service provided, etc.)
Sulo ha Produksyon (Outstanding in Production) – The employee who has the highest weighted earning from research-based activity such as external funding or earning from an Income Generating Research-based Project (IGRP).
Sulo han Pagsuporta (Outstanding Support Service Provider) – This is the employee who is rated by the rest of the employees and their managers as the best non-teaching staff who has provided the best type of support to any members of SSU community (students, personnel and external clients).
On the other hand, the Sidlit han Sulo awards are as follows;
Best Academic Manager – A manager (Dean, Director of Campus or Director of Academic Services) who through his/her leadership was able to inspire employees under his/her care which resulted into the best outcome for his/her college/department
Best Administrative Manager – A manager (Director of Services or Head of Unit) who through his/her leadership was able to inspire employees under his/her care
Best New Faculty – A newly hired (within
Best Administrative Staff – The administrative/facilitative staff who have exemplary performance in his/her assigned work/tasks.
IGP Team Award – The IGP Team who have the highest net-profit benefiting the university through augmentation of funds for various university activities.
Best Student Award – The student who have shown exemplary qualities of SSUs mantra, We Innovate We Build and We Serve.
Best Job Order Employee Award. A JO staff who have exemplary performance in his/her assigned work/tasks.
Best in Attendance Award. The award is given to the employee who has incurred the least number of absences (or no absences) or the least number of tardiness (or no tardiness) and
Winners will receive the following;
SuloAwardee will receive PhP 50,000.00 plus plaque/trophy and a medal
han Suloawardees (6 titles) will receive PhP 30,000.00 each, plaque/trophy and a medal Sidlit han Suloawardees (8 titles) will receive PhP 15,000.00 each, plaque/trophy and a medal
- Runners-up for the
lamrag han sulo(2 for every category cited above) will receive also cash incentives and certificate.
The awards night will coincide with the State of the University Address of the University President Dr. Marilyn D. Cardoso during the celebration of the upcoming SSU Anniversary on August 8, 2019.
Nomination/Application Forms are available at the HRMO office at SSU Main Campus beginning Monday, June 15, 2019.
Disqualified for the awards are the President and the four Vice Presidents and the President. Also, the 2018 winners of
