SSU wins 3 CSC PRIME HRM awards; prexy invited as symposium panelist

MANDAUE CITY, Cebu – Six months after the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME HRM – New Tool) on-site assessment, CSC conferred to Samar State University (SSU) the 2018 PRIME HRM Bronze Award, the 2018 PRIME HRM Promoter Award, and the PRIME HRM Implementor of the Year Award during the PRIME HRM Conversation with Leaders at J Center Mall Convention Center, Mandaue City on May 29-30, 2018.
The awards were given to SSU after passing assessment of the four PRIME HRM areas namely Rewards and Recognition (RR) and Learning and Development (LD), Performance and Management (PM), and Recruitment, Selection and Placement (RSP).
SSU first passed assessment on PM and RSP in September 2017. After passing assessment on RR and LD in November, SSU earned a recommendation for the Bronze Award and the recognition of being the only SUC in Region VIII that qualified for the CSC PRIME HRM Accreditation Level II.
With the awards garnered and as a Level II-accredited SUC under the New Tool, the Civil Service Commission invited the University President, Dr. Marilyn D. Cardoso, as a panelist during the Plenary Session at the 2018 Public Sector HR Symposium on July 18-20, 2018 in Davao City.
Dr. Cardoso will share SSU’s best practices in achieving the PRIME HRM.
